Knights of Columbus

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Knights of Columbus is to support the Church and Family.

What is This Ministry About?

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society. The Order holds true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.

The Knights of Columbus sponsors several activities throughout the year such as Friday night dinners, bingo, a blood drive, and some of the activities at the OLG Parish Festival in June. They also participate in certain liturgies throughout the year, such as "Our Lady of Guadalupe."

The Knights of Columbus has over 13,000 councils. The local council for members of Our Lady of the Greenwood parish is the Monsignor Sheridan Council #6138.

Who May Participate in This Ministry?

Any Catholic man 18 years of age and older, who is committed to making their community a better place, while supporting Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church is welcome to join. Being a Knight means getting involved with your community; it is supporting our Parish Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith. It is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

When Does This Ministry Meet?

The regular Council meeting times are the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

The meetings for the local council for members of Our Lady of the Greenwood parish is the Monsignor Sheridan Council #6138 and is located just east of U.S. 31 at 695 Pushville Road (Co. Road 700N or the first road south of the new Kroger and McDonalds) in Greenwood,  Indiana.
