The Mission of the Parish Picnic is to foster fellowship and community within Our Lady of the Greenwood by offering a way for all members to come together for a relaxing afternoon of conversation, food, and fun.
What is This Ministry About?
The Parish Picnic is an annual cookout for the entire parish. The parish provides the grilled foods and dishware. Parish members are asked to bring side items. Games are played and prizes are provided.
This event is usually scheduled on the first Sunday after school starts. The picnic begins after the 12:00 noon Mass service on the campus south lawn.
Who May Participate in This Ministry?
All members of the Parish and their families are invited to attend this fun-filled event. All we ask is for each family to bring a side dish.
How Can One Become Involved in This Ministry?
Volunteers are always welcome and needed in all aspects of this ministry. No special skills are required. This is truly a "hit and run" ministry as far as time commitment. Most members volunteer two to ten hours annually.
