Purpose of This Ministry

The purpose of the Lectors is to provide the readings, intercessions and announcements during the Mass.

How Can One Become Involved With This Ministry?

Lectors proclaim the first and second readings during the Mass, announcements before Mass and the intercessions. Two lectors are scheduled for each Sunday Mass. One person does the readings and the other person does the announcements and intercessions.

The primary skill needed for this ministry is a clear, understandable reading voice. Training is provided on an as needed basis.
