Msgr. Mark with a priest classmate of his from Rome, Fr. Don King, visited Geneva State Park in northeastern Ohio on the south shore of Lake Erie. That park is in Ashtabula County. This area of Ohio is famous for covered bridges and wineries. Refer to the icon of the hiker on the map for general location.

  This is a restaurant that was located right next to one of the covered bridges. It was not recommended by the local Chamber of Commerce and Msgr. Mark and Fr. Don King chose not to eat there. You will know why by looking at the unmoitvated waitress on the porch and by reading the sign in the next picture.

  Fr. Don King is pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Warren, Ohio. This newly built church was designed in the round. Fr. Don King and Msgr. Mark concelebrated the Sunday Mass before they left on their trip together.

  One of the interesting places Msgr. Mark visited was the Warther Carving Museum in Dover, Ohio. Refer to the icon of the hiker on the map for general location.

  This is one of the trains that Mr. Warther carved and is displayed at his museum in Dover, Ohio. Even the lettering on the base below the train was carved from ivory!
   
  His incredible world carvings of trains include trains with walnut, ebony, and ivory.

  This is the funeral train of Abraham Lincoln. Can you see his body inside his coffin in the window?
