What Do I Do at Our Lady of the Greenwood?
I find myself very busy everyday! It is hard to say what I do because every day is not the same. I handle all the paper work, scheduling, hall rentals, weddings, baptisms, mailings and whatever the staff is in need of help or whatever is asked. My job is very interesting – Church work is not boring!!!!
Born and raised on the eastside of Indianapolis. School for 12 years – Stay at home mom for 18 years – School & Parish Work since 1990 to present.
Why Do I Work at Our Lady of the Greenwood?
I loved being a volunteer at the school while my children were attending and I was hired to help in the after school care and then in February 1992 – Fr. Riedman asked me if I would like to work part time in the parish office I told him I would give it a try. He asked me to sign a contract for 6 months and I said how about 3 months and he agreed…well I must have liked it!!!! Many moons later—
How would I describe Our Lady of the Greenwood to someone who has never been here?
I really feel that we are a very warm and vibrant parish family!!! Always something to do — If you cannot find something to be involved with at OLG – then you are not trying very hard!!!!
One memory of church growing up:
Going to Mass every morning with your class before school!!!
