Our Lady of the Greenwood Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church serves a wonderful cross section of Catholics as well as the service that we the faithful perform in extension.  Fr. Todd has strived to form the Parish Council to reflect such variety.

We have two major roles: bridges and sounding boards.

• Bridges that connect the people in the parish to each other and to the parish staff;
• Sounding boards that bounce ideas back and forth between the parish membership and our pastor.

We function with eyes, ears, and hearts toward four major areas:

• Prayer
• Evangelization
• Vocation
• Facility

The first three of these are simply living the Catholic life; the fourth is mostly the functional stuff.  We examine these areas and provide Fr. Todd with feedback on the “how” to advance them in the life of the parish.

The council is comprised of 12 parishioners that reflect the make-up of our parish.  We each serve 3-year terms that allow for a cycling of membership.  We are developing a membership process of spiritually/prayerfully guided discernment.

We all feel blessed to serve in this capacity and look forward to what God has in store for our parish and community through this work.
